Natural Hair Gift Ideas
One of the first natural hair gift ideas is a satin pillowcase. Sleeping with this is important if you want to protect your curls. You can also double your protection by wearing a satin bonnet or scarf.
Satin can help your hair retain moisture longer, keep your style fresh, and prevent split ends.
Kazmaleje Paddle Comb
Kazmaleje creates tools to address the styling and detangling needs for natural hair. When I first saw this Paddle Comb, I was hesitant to purchase it, however, I’m glad I did!
It’s sturdy and does an amazing job at detangling whether I’m doing a pre-poo, deep conditioning, or styling. I can easily detangle thicker sections without worrying about breakage.
The Paddle Comb can also be used for blow-drying and scalp massages.
I’ve been using this handheld scalp massager for years and it hasn’t disappointed me! Doing scalp massages regularly has the following benefits:
- Increases blood circulation to the scalp
- Promotes healthy hair growth
- Strengthens the roots
- Prevents flakes and dryness
It reaches your scalp easily without causing tangles and it vibrates which is very relaxing!
Sparkly Hair Clips
Adding accessories to your hairstyles can take them to the next level and add extra spice!
There are a variety of hair clips with sparkles and rhinestones that you can use. Some of them are customized with words such as boss, queen, and goals.
Whenever you want to switch things up, accessories like these are perfect to reach for.
Bunzee Bands are adjustable hair ties that’ll help you achieve the perfect high puff. You won’t have to worry about these causing a headache or putting extra tension on your edges.
This can help you stay comfortable throughout the day when you wear puffs since they provide a soft hold.
BunzeeBands are also stretchy and can fit around thicker hair with no issue!
Flairosol Spray Bottle
A Flairosol bottle will make styling and refreshing your curls easier. These provide a continuous mist with one push.
It can reduce the amount of time it takes to style, evenly distribute water, and keep your hair moisturized.
You don’t have to worry about too much water coming out at once and saturating your hair. This bottle allows you to have more control!
Instead of going to a stylist, you may want to save time and money and cut your hair at home. Before doing that, you want to invest in professional scissors or shears so you can achieve a precise cut.
You can also use shears to dust your hair. Dusting is a technique that involves cutting a small amount off the ends of your hair. This can help get rid of split ends before they become worse.
Although this method is beneficial, it’s important to remember that it doesn’t replace your professional trims!
Here’s a tutorial showing an example of how I dust my ends.
Rat Tail Comb
I used to be against using rat tail combs, however, they’ve been helpful for my routine.
You can use these combs to part your hair and detangle your ends while styling.
Whenever I’m doing a twist-out, I make sure to run this comb through the ends of my hair so my style can come out smooth and free from tangles.
Microfiber towels are great for drying your hair without causing damage, frizz, or breakage. It does a great job of removing excess water and it doesn’t cause tangles which is always a plus.
I love using the Turbie Twist Microfiber Hair Wrap in my routine. It’s made with super absorbent material and is designed to gently and quickly dry your hair.
Thermal Hot Head
Adding heat while deep conditioning is key, and an easy, convenient way to do that is with this microwaveable cap from Thermal Hot Head.
The heat will open up your hair’s cuticle which means your product will be able to penetrate your strands better.
Besides deep conditioning, it can also be used for pre-poo treatments, DIYs, and hot oil treatments.
African Pride Pre-Poo
This is hands down one of the best pre-poo treatments I’ve tried on my hair!
The African Pride Pre-Shampoo is a moisturizing and detangling blend that conditions, remove tangles, protects, and leaves your curls manageable. The key ingredients are Aloe Vera and Coconut Water.
The consistency is slimy like Aloe and it provides plenty of slip. No matter how tangled or matted my hair is, it removes all knots and shed hair easily.
Melanin Haircare Style Cream
Melanin Haircare was created by the OG of YouTube, Naptural85, or Whitney White. I was excited when I heard she was launching natural hair products.
One of my favorites from her collection is the Twist-Elongating Style Cream.
It comes in a 16oz container and lasts for a while! This cream is moisturizing, has plenty of slip, and helps me achieve the perfect twist-outs that are long-lasting!
Dominican Curly Ayurvedic Oil
One of the best natural hair gift ideas for women who want to grow their hair is the Ayurvedic Oil from Dominican Curly.
Ayurvedic herbs provide several benefits for natural hair such as promoting hair growth and soothing scalp conditions. I love using this for my scalp massages and to seal moisture into my hair.
Some of the ingredients in this oil are Peppermint Oil, Henna, Neem, Cassia, and Castor Oil.
This is also beneficial if you have a dry, itchy scalp and dandruff! It’ll provide you with the fast relief you need and keep your scalp healthy.
Strands of Faith Clay Wash
Clay washes are great for removing product build-up and giving your curls a fresh start. I love using them at the beginning of each month and it does a great job of cleansing and conditioning my hair.
One that I recommend is the Strands of Faith Miracle 3-n-1 Clay Wash.
Some of the ingredients are Aloe Vera Juice, Rhassoul Clay, Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay, and Shea Butter. This will work miracles on dry hair and leave it moisturized.
Camille Rose Algae Renew
The Algae Renew Deep Conditioner from Camille Rose would make a perfect gift. I always say you can never have too many deep conditioners in your collection.
It’s a step you should be doing every wash day to restore moisture and strengthen your hair strands!
This product has plenty of slip, smells good, and will leave your curls strong and moisturized. It’s packed with nourishing ingredients such as Blue Algae, Aloe Vera Juice, Biotin, and Mango Butter.
Nature’s Little Secret Conditioner
I’ve been a huge fan of Nature’s Little Secret since starting my natural hair journey. Her products have worked wonders for my high porosity hair.
Although I recommend her entire collection, one of my favorites is the Rose Hydrating Conditioner.
This product contains Rosewater which has many benefits such as:
- Hydrates, moisturizes, + conditions
- Soothes the scalp
- Helps you detangle easily
- Provides soft, manageable curls
All of her products are formulated with natural ingredients and smell like a bakery.
Neges Banda Chebe Pre-Poo
Chebe is another Ayurvedic herb you can incorporate into your regimen. It helps moisturize and condition the hair, encourages length retention, and helps you retain moisture.
If you’re looking for a quality product with this ingredient, then you need the Neges Banda Chebe Pre-Poo Treatment.
This has a good amount of slip which can help you detangle easier and faster. Whenever my hair is full of tangles and knots, I know I can reach for this and achieve soft, moisturized results!
NaturAll Club JBCO Collection
NaturAll Club recently launched the Jamaican Black Castor Oil collection and it didn’t disappoint. In the collection, you’ll find the following:
- Strengthening Ice Cream Treatment

- Strengthening JBCO Serum
Jamaican Black Castor oil is perfect for natural hair because it helps moisturize the scalp, reduce frizz, and promote healthy hair growth.
The serum can be used for your scalp massages and hot oil treatments. It can also help lock in moisture while styling your hair.
Treluxe Untie the Knot
The last natural hair product that I recommend is the Untie the Knot Leave-In Conditioner from Treluxe.
This leave-in is moisturizing and smells delicious. Whenever I use this, I achieve long-lasting, defined results. It’s formulated with Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Keratin Amino Acids, and Slippery Elm.
All of their products are great for women with kinks and curls. On top of that, they’re also black-owned!
These natural hair gift ideas would make the perfect addition to anyone’s regimen.
