One of the things I looked forward to when I returned natural is growing long, healthy curls. We all know that in order to reach your length goals, you should have a consistent regimen to keep your hair and scalp healthy.

Besides following the basics of caring for your hair, there are products and techniques you can use that’ll help grow your natural hair faster. One of those things I’ve spoken about frequently are Ayurvedic Herbs.

Ayurveda is a holistic healing system that was created thousands of years ago. There are a variety of herbs you can use in your regimen that’ll provide many benefits for your natural hair. Not only does using these herbs consistently lead to hair growth, but it also does the following:

  • Soothe scalp conditions
  • Provide thicker/fuller hair
  • Adds strength and shine
  • Enhances your texture
  • Provides softness + manageability

I started investing in products that contain Ayurvedic herbs and noticed a huge difference with my curls. If you’re not a DIY person, there’s a brand you can support that formulates their products with these all-natural herbs.

Henna Sooq creates products that contain raw, natural ingredients that your hair needs to be healthier, stronger, and longer. She uses a variety of Ayurvedic herbs that’ll help strengthen your strands, promote healthy hair growth, provide shine + volume, and help maintain your curls.

Products That Grow Your Natural Hair:

Ayurvedic Scalp + Root Mask

The Ayurvedic Scalp & Root Hair Mask is great to use if you want to grow your natural hair.

The first product I recommend using to grow your natural hair is the Ayurvedic Scalp + Root Hair Mask. This is used to treat the scalp and strengthen hair strands at the roots. The key to healthy hair growth is a healthy scalp, therefore, using this in your regimen will help you reach your length goals. It will also alleviate any scalp issues you may experience.

Check out this video where I used this mask on my natural hair:

I love how refreshed my scalp felt after using this product. As you can see in the video, it left my curls moisturized, soft, and defined! I’ve always struggled with a dry, itchy scalp, however, ever since I incorporated this product into my regimen, I haven’t had these issues.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Cassia, Neem, Brahmi, Bhringraj, Aloe Vera, Eucalyptus, Lemon Essential Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil

Cocoveda Hair Masque

Grow your natural hair with the Cocoveda Hair Masque from Henna Sooq.

A great deep conditioner to use that’ll grow your natural hair and strengthen your curls is the Cocoveda Hair Masque. It’s infused with 5 strengthening herbs:

  • Henna
  • Amla
  • Shikakai
  • Bhringraj
  • Brahmi

This conditioner has a thick consistency, however, it applies and spreads easily on the hair. It has plenty of slip when you apply it on soaking wet hair and a little goes a long way!

After using this strengthening treatment, you can expect moisturized, thicker, and tangle-free hair. I love adding heat while using this and my hair always comes out super soft. When my curls need a pick-me-up, I know I can reach for this and provide my hair with the goodies it needs.

Here are more benefits of using this:

  • Heals dry, damaged hair
  • Provides nourishment
  • Repairs + restores hair strands
  • Promotes stronger, longer hair

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera Juice, Sunflower Oil

Goddess Hair

The Goddess Hair Mask from Henna Sooq is great for promoting natural hair growth.

Goddess Hair is a herbal mask that nourishes your hair with 5 essential herbs. These herbs will provide you with stronger, healthier, defined curls.

It comes as a powder and you’re able to customize it based on what your hair loves and needs. There are many ingredients you can add to your herbal treatments such as:

  • Rose Water
  • Aloe Vera Juice
  • Honey
  • Natural Oils
  • Essential Oils
  • Hair Tea

If you don’t want to add anything special, you can simply mix this with warm water until you achieve a smooth consistency. You want to be able to apply it easily to each section without worrying about clumps getting stuck in your hair once it’s time to rinse it out.

Ingredients: Cassia, Amla, Hibiscus, Fenugreek, Rose Petal, Aloe Vera Powder

Moroccan Hair Tea Rinse

Incorporating hair tea in your regimen will help you grow your natural hair.

Using tea is a step you can add in your regimen that can grow your natural hair. It can be used in a variety of ways: a refresher spray, rinse, liquid in your DIY’s, and a leave-in treatment for extra conditioning.

Here are some benefits of using hair tea:

  • Reduces shedding + breakage
  • Stimulates healthy hair growth
  • Strengthens your hair
  • Alleviates an itchy scalp + dandruff
  • Thickens the hair

The Moroccan Hair Tea Rinse is infused with herbs that provide strength and nourishment for your curls. I make my tea the night before wash day so it can have enough time to sit — it also saves me time since it’s already prepared when I’m ready to use it.

Ingredients: Henna, Rose, Chamomile, Pomegranate, Clove, Serghina, Date Seed

Organic Amla Powder

Amla is an Ayurvedic herb that is perfect for growing your natural hair.

Amla is the first Ayurvedic herb I used in my routine when I started experimenting with them. I enjoy adding it to my moisturizing deep conditioners and using it in DIY recipes.

Amla provides the following benefits:

  • Prevents hair fall
  • Fights dandruff
  • Prevents premature greying
  • Promotes healthy hair growth
  • Enhances the curl pattern
  • Provides shine

Amla Powder is great to use if you want to grow your natural hair because it’s packed with nutrients and Vitamin C which offers a multitude of benefits for the hair and scalp. To start off, I recommend adding 1-2 teaspoons of Amla into your deep conditioner of choice. This is a great way to test it out and see how your hair reacts before committing to a treatment.

If you want to grow your natural hair, invest in these products and keep track of how much your curls flourish. Ayurvedic herbs are truly a game-changer and if you haven’t experimented with them, I highly recommend trying them out. Start off small and work your way up!

Besides purchasing good-quality products, make sure you’re also keeping your hair and scalp clean + moisturized while wearing low-manipulation styles. Also, drinking plenty of water, and having a good diet can contribute to healthy hair growth!
