Gift Ideas for Bloggers:
Before you start creating, you want to make sure your area is well-lit. That’s why one of the first gift ideas for Bloggers is a ring light!
If you don’t have a lot of natural light to work with, this can provide enough in your area to keep your content bright and attractive.
You can control how bright or dim you want the light — I love this because depending on the area I’m in, I may need more or less light.
If you want a budget-friendly option, check out the ring light below:
Although this is smaller, it still gets the job done. I started with this ring light and it worked perfectly until I was able to save money.
A tripod is perfect for holding your phone or camera steady while you’re creating content. I’ve bought many tripods, however, this has been the best one I’ve had so far!
It’s very sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap like the previous ones I’ve tried.
One of the best gift ideas for Bloggers to stay organized is a planner or notebook. It’s great to have a dedicated place to write down your content ideas and to-do list.
Whenever I have an idea pop up, I love writing it down so I don’t forget it. I also use my notebook to keep track of brand partnerships and content I have to complete.
A planner that I recommend can be found from a black-owned brand called The Book’d Store. Their planner helped me stay on track with posting consistently and setting goals.
This planner comes with a variety of goodies such as:
- Monthly analytics to track your growth
- Finances sheet
- Goal setting worksheets
- Vision board space
and much more!
Sheepskin is the perfect prop to have as a background when taking product shots. I love how they come in different colors — I have pink, blue, and white!
I’ve always seen photography ideas on Pinterest with a sheepskin rug which is why I’m glad I added it to my space.
Here is a product shot so you can get an idea of how it looks:
I also use it as a background to record product-focused Instagram Reels like this one.
It keeps your content attractive and you don’t have to worry about a cluttered background distracting from your photography skills!
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Lens
If you want to upgrade the quality of your content, I highly recommend the Sigma 30mm lens. When you purchase a camera, the lens is what will help you produce quality content (and using the right settings).
Although this lens is pricey, it has upgraded the quality of my work tremendously.
If you want to improve your quality but don’t want to spend as much money, a budget-friendly option that still produces quality content is the 50mm lens also known as the “Nifty Fifty”.
This lens is the cheapest option I’ve seen, but don’t let the price fool you. It will provide you with crisp photos and videos!
The only con that I have about this lens is it’s really zoomed in. You have to be a good distance away from the camera to fit in the frame. If your content creation space isn’t big enough, this may cause a problem.
Brittany Hennessy – Influencer
Brittany is the author of “Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media” which has been a helpful resource on my journey.
This is great for all types of Influencers whether you’re a beginner or have been creating for a while.
As you continue to record videos, take pictures, and start editing, your storage space will fill up quickly.
There’s nothing more annoying than getting the notification that your storage is almost full when you’re in the middle of creating.
A solution for that is to invest in this Flash Drive which works for both Androids and iPhones.
You can upload your videos, pictures, and even your contacts onto the drive and free up your storage space without having to delete your hard work!
Phone Ring Holder
This ring holder is similar to a Pop Socket but even better.
Since I work from my phone a lot, I want to be able to hold it comfortably and have it propped up while I’m watching videos. The ring holder has been helpful for that.
Sometimes I take quick selfies on my iPhone and this helps me keep my phone steady so I can get the perfect shot and angle!
The Bluetooth Camera Remote is a game-changer when it comes to taking pictures on your phone. If you don’t have a photographer or someone to help you take pictures, then you need this!
You simply connect it to your smartphone via Bluetooth and you’re able to take your pictures with one click.
That means you can easily take full-body shots without being near your phone or having to set a self-timer and run back to get into position.
Adobe Lightroom is my top favorite photo editing app. It can take a dull photo and transform it into a bright, quality piece of content.
One thing I love about Lightroom is you can create or purchase presets which are filters you can quickly add to your photos. Presets are great for keeping your Instagram feed cohesive because they’ll ensure your content looks the same.
I bought a pack of presets earlier this year from a creator I found on Twitter and I love them. It comes with 17 different filters and they’re all perfect for black women. You can check it out here.
Felt Letter Board
I’ve always seen creators with a letter board and thought it was the cutest addition. It comes with different sizes of letters, punctuation marks, numbers, and emojis.
They’re simple to use, all you have to do is figure out what you want the board to say and stick the letters on it.
You can share anything on the board whether it’s your favorite quote, positive affirmations, your social media handles, or a brand/hashtag that you’re promoting.
Similar to a ring light, this box of light will make your area brighter so you can achieve the best quality for your content.
In my opinion, this is great to have in your area if it’s big because it’ll provide more light than a ring.
Some creators use both a ring light and softbox lights, however, it depends on where you’re recording and how much brightness you need.
Fake plant mom here! And I know I’m not the only one haha.
Plants make another great addition to your content. I feel like they give content a more natural feel and can make it attractive.
Since I don’t have a green thumb, I decided to purchase artificial plants that work just as well!
Canon Rebel T7i
I recently upgraded to this camera and I’m obsessed. The price I paid is worth it because it took the quality of my content to the next level.
The Canon Rebel T7i is a mirrorless camera which means the screen flips out – it’s helpful while recording videos. It also has wifi and I’m able to easily connect my phone or iPad to transfer my content.
If you have a Canon, I recommend downloading the Canon Connect App. You’ll be able to use the remote shooting feature to take your pictures and record videos by hitting a button on your phone.
Another thing that I love about this camera is the autofocus. My last camera didn’t have this and it made recording a pain in the butt. Whenever you move, the camera will refocus quickly.
Extra Camera Batteries
There’s nothing more annoying than being in the middle of creating content and your camera dies. Having backup batteries is a must!
The ones I purchased from Amazon also come with a charger so I can charge both at the same time. Whenever my camera starts running low on battery, it’s easy to switch it out and continue creating.
Make sure you choose the correct batteries based on the type of camera you have. If you have the Canon Rebel T7i, I use these batteries.
Marble Vanity Tray
One of the last gift ideas for Bloggers is a marble vanity tray which is great for taking product shots!
You want to get creative with the props you buy for your content and make the best use out of them.
I love the design and it’s a decent size. Here is an example of a shot I took using it:
When I’m creating in my bedroom, I love that I can place the products I’m using on this tray, especially if I want them in the shot with me.
These gift ideas for Bloggers will make the perfect addition to your creator space.
Using the right equipment can help you create quality content that your audience will love.
I enjoy shopping on Amazon whenever I’m looking for new equipment because they have a lot to choose from. I know many are hesitant to spend a lot of money on certain products, however, these have been some of the best investments on my journey.
