Using face oils in my routine has been a game-changer. This is one product I recommend to everyone, and yes, even those with oily and acne-prone skin can benefit from using oils!
Face oils offer the following benefits:
- Conditions the skin
- Reduces hyperpigmentation
- Provides nourishment
- Regulates the skin’s sebum production
In this post, I want to share my favorite face oils for dry skin. They can be used on their own or applied on top of your moisturizer.

Face Oils for Dry Skin
The Ordinary Rosehip Oil

One of the best face oils for dry skin is the Rose Hip Seed Oil from The Ordinary. Their products are budget-friendly and have worked great for my skin.
Rosehip Oil comes from the fruit and seeds of the Rose plant and is packed with nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids.
Here are some benefits of using it:
- Has antibacterial + antifungal properties
- Provides hydration for supple skin
- Helps lock in the skin’s natural moisture
- Exfoliates + brightens the skin
Rosehip oil is also great for protecting your skin against sun damage. Although it has this benefit, it shouldn’t be a replacement for sunscreen.
Josie Maran Argan Oil

Josie Maran has been a staple in my routine for years and one of my favorite products is their Argan Oil.
It’s soothing, absorbs quickly into the skin, and is high in Vitamin E.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps prevent sun damage, dark spots, and fine lines by blocking environmental damage.
Here are more benefits of this oil:
- Nourishes + conditions the skin
- Hydrates + provides a dewy glow
- Contains rich sources of essential fatty acids
All you need is a couple of drops and it spreads easily across your face and neck. It’s non-greasy and will provide long-lasting hydration.
Biossance Vitamin C Rose Oil

The Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil from Biossance is a blend that helps brighten, firm, and hydrate in one step.
It’s formulated with plant-based Squalane, Chios Crystal Oil, and Vitamin C. These ingredients work together to provide the following benefits:
- Increases skin radiance
- Improves skin tone + texture
- Boosts firmness + suppleness
- Protects skin from moisture loss
This oil is great for dark circles, dullness, and uneven skin texture. I love the natural, dewy glow it leaves on my skin and it has a soft, natural scent of Rose.
Tea Tree Essential Oil
It’s important to remember that essential oils can be too strong to use on their own. You should mix them with carrier oil to reduce irritation.
Some good carrier oils to mix them with are Almond, Avocado, Coconut, and Jojoba Oil.
Tea Tree Oil is a must-have for those who struggle with acne because of its anti-inflammatory properties. It also does the following:
- Improves overall appearance of skin
- Relieves dry, itchy skin
- Soothes redness + swelling
- Reduces acne scars
One of my favorites is the Healing Solutions Tea Tree Oil. It doesn’t contain additives or harmful chemicals.
Lemon Essential Oil
If you deal with hyperpigmentation, the Now Foods Lemon Oil is a great option for your routine. It’s best to use this during the night since this can make your skin sensitive to sun exposure.
Here are more benefits:
- Removes dead skin cells that clog pores
- Reduces inflammation that causes acne
- Promotes healthier skin
- Controls excess oil + shrinks pores
My favorite quality of this oil is the smell. It has a refreshing, uplifting scent that can help you relax and wind down for bed.
Eucalyptus Oil
I’ve been using Nature’s Truth Eucalyptus Oil in my DIY facial masks and have been loving the benefits.
Eucalyptus oil has antibacterial and anti-microbial properties which makes it perfect for skin conditions such as acne and eczema. It kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation.
Here are a few more benefits to expect:
- Acts as an effective moisturizer
- Reduces dark spots + acne scars
- Promotes the renewal of cells
I mix this with Aztec Healing Clay and Aloe Vera Juice. All you need is 2-3 drops of the oil after you get it to the consistency you want.
I love the slight minty sensation it provides and how refreshed it leaves my skin!
If you haven’t added face oils into your skincare routine yet, I recommend trying one of these! All skin types can benefit and you’ll notice a difference in the overall appearance.
