I’ve experienced my share of mistakes and became overwhelmed, however, when you’re passionate about what you do, remembering why you started will keep you motivated!
I’ve always received questions about how I run my blog, write posts, and promote them. Since starting this journey, I’ve found blogging tools and resources that help me keep things running smoothly and get my content in front of more people.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I always talk about how amazing Pinterest is.
Before I started blogging, I used to scroll all night pinning everything I loved to different boards. Little did I know, this platform would be one of the best blogging tools to use for growing my traffic.

It’s worth learning how to use Pinterest because it can not only get more eyes on your content, it can also bring in sales for the products you promote!
Tailwind is another tool that has helped me bring in consistent traffic.
It’s the number one software tool for Pinterest marketing and is used to schedule your pins and Instagram posts. It took a while to see results, however, the wait was worth it.
You have access to a scheduler that helps you stay organized and have content ready to pin ahead of time. Instead of manually scrolling through Pinterest every day and pinning your posts, Tailwind will take care of that for you.
This gives you more time to focus on creating content while you’re still active on Pinterest. I spend a few hours on Tailwind each week and schedule pins for the rest of the month.
Another feature on Tailwind is called Communities which is similar to group boards on Pinterest. You can search for groups that are within your niche(s) and join them to promote your blog posts.
After you get your blog set up, the next thing you want to do is start an email list.
Having an email list as a Blogger is important because this will help you build connections with your audience! It’s also great to have when it comes to partnering with brands — they love having the option to get in front of your subscribers.
My favorite platform to use for my emails is MailerLite. It’s beginner-friendly and has made keeping up with my subscribers easy.
MailerLite is free to use until you hit 1,000 subscribers. Even after hitting that milestone, their prices are affordable. I love how easy it is to create newsletters, keep track of subscribers, and see how each campaign is performing.
There are a variety of email marketing platforms to choose from. I recommend reading reviews before deciding which one to start your email list with.

There are many resources that claim to help you learn how to take your blog to the next level, it can be hard to choose which one to go for!
Ever since I started implementing the tips I read in this book, I’ve seen an increase in my blog and Pinterest analytics. The pins I create for my blog posts are being seen by more people and I’m showing up under Google searches organically for topics that I write about.
I know many are hesitant to purchase eBooks or courses from others, however, you can trust that the information she provides will work wonders for your blog too!
Canva is a free editing program that helps you create beautiful graphics for your brand.
I use Canva to create pins for my blog posts to promote them on Pinterest. Since I’m trying to bring more traffic to my website, using this tool helps me create attractive, quality graphics that’ll catch my audience’s attention and lead them to my blog posts.
Canva is beginner-friendly and they have many templates to choose from if you don’t want to create from scratch. I pay $12 for a business account which is worth it in my opinion, especially since I use it often!
This app can be used for much more such as creating business cards, writing an eBook, and designing a logo for your brand.
I don’t know about you, but one of my pet peeves is reading articles with a bunch of spelling and grammar mistakes.
Of course, you’re able to speak however you want on your blog, but keep in mind that people are coming to your website to learn. If they can’t understand what they’re reading, they’ll leave and find another website to visit.
One of the last blogging tools for beginners that I recommend is Grammarly. Grammarly is a web tool that helps you correct mistakes while typing.
It’s easy to overlook simple mistakes while you’re reading your blog post, however, using this tool will ensure the posts you write are easy to read and are free of as many mistakes as possible.
Using this has helped me improve my writing skills and saves me time! Once my post is up, I don’t have to worry about constantly going back in to edit my mistakes since Grammarly catches it beforehand.
These blogging tools for beginners have made my journey easier and I’m glad most of them are either free or affordable.
As you continue to write valuable content, research, and show up for your audience consistently while using these tools, things will start running smoothly.
There’s a lot of information out there when it comes to blogging, however, don’t let that overwhelm you! Take your time and focus on learning one thing at a time. Make sure you find tools that’ll help you work smarter and not harder.
