There are many useful tools and apps for Content Creators that’ll boost productivity, improve the quality of your content, and help you stay organized.
In this post, I want to share apps you should download on your phone to make creating less of a hassle. Most of these are free or budget-friendly. They can be found on both Android and iPhone devices!

Apps for Content Creators
Grammarly
The first app I recommend is Grammarly. This is a lifesaver when it comes to correcting any mistakes while you’re typing.
It lets you know when a word is misspelled and will help you keep sentences simple. Whether you’re writing an email, drafting a blog post, or posting on social media, Grammarly will come through for you!
No matter how many times you review your words, it’s easy to skip over small mistakes, however, you won’t have to worry about that when you use this app.
They have a premium version that provides more benefits for your writing, however, the free version has worked perfectly for me.
Canva Pro
Canva is great for designing Pinterest graphics, social media posts, business cards, and more!
If you plan on using this app regularly, I recommend upgrading to Canva Pro which is around $12.95/month.
Canva Pro has more perks: It provides you access to millions of free stock photos, allows you to set your brand font and colors, and helps you stay organized.
You don’t need design experience to create quality images since it’s beginner-friendly.

InShot
My go-to video editor used to be iMovie, however, inShot has quickly taken that place!
It has more transitions, fonts, and filters you can experiment with. It’s also affordable if you want to have access to all of the features they have available.
You can still edit great content using the free version, however, if you want full access, you can pay $3.99/monthly or $14.99/annually.
Watching tutorials on YouTube helped me understand how to use this app better and create quality videos that are engaging.
Adobe Lightroom
Lightroom is the best app I’ve used to edit my photos. I love that you can create presets and edit your content faster by using the same filters.
Instead of creating a preset, I purchased a bundle from a creator I found on Twitter. You can check them out here — these filters are perfect for brown skin!
Whenever I upload a photo, all I have to do is select the preset and it takes care of the rest for me. This is great if you want to keep your content cohesive on Instagram.
I recommend checking out the tutorials on the app so you can learn the purpose of each setting and how to create attractive, quality photos.
Check out a before and after below, which one do you think would receive the most engagement?

StoryArt
If you want to upgrade the look of your Instagram stories, another great app for Content Creators to download is StoryArt.
They have a variety of templates and you can easily add your photos, videos, and text to them. You can also create highlight covers for your Instagram!
Instagram stories are a great way to connect with your audience and show more of your personality behind the scenes. The more attractive and well put together they are, the more your audience will watch and engage with them.
Camera Connect
If you have a Canon camera, I recommend downloading the Camera Connect app. You connect your phone to the camera via WiFi and then you’ll have access to remote shooting.
This is great to use if you don’t have anyone to help you take photos. You can set a self-timer and make sure you’re in focus while creating.
Trello
Wouldn’t it be nice to have all of your work organized in one app? Trello has been perfect for this.
You’re able to create any type of list and keep track of tasks that need to be completed.
For example, I have one section dedicated to my email pitches. I created a list of brands I’m interested in working with, find their contact information, and then keep track of the ones I sent an email to and secured a partnership with.
You can include notes, deadlines, and more in this app. This will help you stay organized and feel less overwhelmed.

VSCO Video Editor
VSCO is another video editor that I love and recommend.
When I started using it, I was overwhelmed by the number of filters they had to choose from! You want to take your time and go through each one to find the best fit for your content.
Once you find a filter, you can add it to your videos! You can also edit the brightness, sharpness, vibrancy, and more.
You can save your filters as a preset and continue to use the same settings for each video that you create. This is another way to keep your content cohesive!
Google Drive
Google Drive helps me keep all of my content and information organized in different folders.
Here are some examples of ones I created:
- Brand Collaborations: I keep creative briefs and any information a brand sends over.
- Contracts: After I sign a contract, I upload them to this folder so I can keep a copy.
This is also perfect to use when you need to send content to brands. Instead of attaching a lot of files to an email, you can upload them to a Google Drive folder and send a link for the brand to access it.
They’ll be able to click on the link and review your content easily!
Tailwind
If you have a Pinterest account, then I’m sure you’ve heard of Tailwind!
Tailwind is a Pinterest-approved scheduler that can save you time by posting your pins when your audience is active.
One of my favorite features of this app is called Communities. These are niche-specific groups you can join to share your content from Instagram or your website.
Tailwind helps me keep up with my presence on Pinterest while I work on other content.
Running multiple social media platforms and a website is hard work. When you can find an app that’ll save you time, it’s a must-have.
It takes a lot of time and dedication to build a brand, so why not make things easier by investing in apps that’ll help you?
I love that all of these are available on my phone and I can work anywhere, anytime!
